Another message read: 'Yeah, I really don't give a f— how you get home, I don't give a f— if you ever get home. I hope you get r—d and a— f—ed tonight.'
Perhaps most chillingly, investigators said he sent Shelby Perrien a message warning: 'You 100% will need a body bag if I stay with you. Each time my rage is worse.'
After an investigation spanning more than a year, detectives determined blood evidence from the vehicle indicated Jeremy Perrien fired the fatal shot from the driver's seat—not that his wife had taken her own life.
Jeremy Perrien, who served as assistant fire chief for Scott County and was also a reserve deputy for the Scott County Sheriff's Office, was arrested on Friday morning. He is currently held at Stoddard County Jail without bond.
